Career Summary:

Mr. Engberg has worked with Northwest Management, Inc. since 1994. He assists the Timber Sale Program Manager and is responsible for providing timber sale services to both industrial and non-industrial private forest landowners in Idaho, Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon.  His main responsibilities are management and administration of the timber sale and private reforestation programs.  This includes sale procurement, sale preparation and layout, logging planning, log marketing, contract negotiations, sale administration, quality control and slash disposal.  Managing the private reforestation program requires Mr. Engberg to utilize skills in working with landowners and contractors, seedling acquisition, unit layout, securing agreements, and ensuring quality control. Part of the reforestation program requires Mr. Engberg to plan and administer herbicide applications, including spot, ground and aerial operations. The projects are custom tailored to meet each Client’s objectives, all state forest practice regulations and best management practices.

In addition to timber sales services, Mr. Engberg has performed timber cruising for acquisitions and appraisals, harvests, management plans, and resource inventory for silvicultural prescriptions.  He has also written management plans, performed prescribed burning and wildfire suppression, as well as actively utilizes GIS and GPS for mapping of NMI projects.

Mr. Engberg also manages the R.T. Bingham White Pine Seed Orchard in Moscow, Idaho for the White Pine Species Group.
