Career Summary:

Jim Cancroft has been a Professional Forester for Northwest Management, Inc.’s Helena, MT office since 2004. Mr. Cancroft is responsible for the development and implementation of silvicultural prescriptions, development and administration of timber sales, and is involved in prescribed burning and wildland firefighting for Northwest Management, Inc. He researches, composes and assists in the implementation of Stewardship Plans for private landowners.

Mr. Cancroft’s previous experience has been working in the Northwest as a consulting forester for Northern Rockies LLC since 1990. His responsibilities included projects as wildfire mitigation, forest health improvement, and view shed creation. He was involved in forest inventory and timber sale preparation. Mr. Cancroft provided consulting services for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Montana Department of Natural Resources, Idaho Department of Lands, and industrial forest landowners.
