NIPF Conference
When: March 22-23, 2004
Where: Best Western-University Inn, Moscow
Sponsored by: Clearwater RC&D and affiliate groups

“Forests and Management are Changing—Are You Keeping UP?” is the theme of a two day conference for private forest landowners. The 2004 Idaho Forest Owners Association and Idaho Tree Farm Program Annual Meetings are being held in conjunction with the conference. On Wednesday following the conference, a tour will be held to look at a thinning and fuels reduction demonstration site in Latah County.
The conference will be comprised of four main sessions: Beyond the Fire Line, Managing Your Forestland, Policy Issues: Preparing for Change, and Managing and Marketing other Forest Resources. Eighteen separate topics will be presented that should be of great interest to non-industrial private forest landowners.


Country Living Expo 2004
March 26 – 28, 2004
Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N Havana (Broadway & Havana)

Northwest Management, Inc. will be an Exhibitor at the Expo. In it’s fifth year, the Country Living Expo is a show uniquely designed for people who live in the country. Approximately 120,000 property owners with two to 80 acres (32,000 in Spokane County along) comprise the target market area. Youth and Family Attractions include a Petting Zoo, and a Chick Giveaway on Sat.

Toby Brown’s background includes inventory and forest management. He will be a great asset to our fire management and all- hazard management planning program.

This year’s Field Day Topics include: Small Scale Forestry Equipment, Forest Insects & Diseases, Thinning & Pruning, Understanding the Timber Market & Selling Your Logs, Wildlife Habitat Enhancement, Weeds or Wealth?-Nontimber Forest Products

Courses that require advanced registration include: Hands-On Global Positioning System, and Riparian Ecology & Management
The entire event is outdoors and goes rain or shin. Dress for the weather.
